Our story · The Iqhawe Group

Born to conquer.

From R160 and a relentless will to succeed, Donavan Pillay, known to many as “Mr Iqhawe”, built the Iqhawe Group into a respected name in KwaZulu-Natal security.

From humble beginnings

R160, hard work and a drive that never switches off.

Mr Donavan Pillay, CEO of the Iqhawe Group, started his enterprise with just R160, unwavering dedication, exceptionally hard work and a drive that would put any high-powered engine to shame.

Today the Iqhawe Group has an established footprint in the security industry, backed by traceable references and a growing list of accolades. Warrior Alarms Electronics Security, Iqhawe Protection Services and Warrior Electronics all grew from that same determination.

The people behind the group

Built on family, resilience and grit.

A partnership built on trust

Mr Pillay is supported by his wife, Mrs Rebacca Pillay, Director of Warrior Electronics. Together they have proven that business and family can thrive side by side. Their shared professionalism is at the heart of the company’s success.

Shaped by resilience

Raised without his father, Mr Pillay and his brother faced life’s hardships from a young age. His mother’s strength and guidance played a defining role in his success, and it is why he is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment today.

A “can do” attitude

Every venture he takes on reflects the same “can do” mindset. He pushes himself to the limit, in business and beyond, and that attitude has brought him remarkable success so far.

Beyond the boardroom

Challenges accepted. Summits reached.

Mr Pillay has represented South Africa at the SKIF World Karate Championships in Sydney, Australia, and conquered Mount Kilimanjaro. Having already trekked to Everest Base Camp, who knows? The summit of Everest could be next.

R160

The amount the business started with.

He stands for everything but failure, and expects the same from his team. That is what makes the Iqhawe Group an elite force to be reckoned with.
